The International Conference on Peer-to-Peer Computing was founded by Prof. Nahid Shahmehri of Linköpings Universitet, Sweden, Dr. Germano Caronni of Google, USA, and Dr. Nathalie Weiler of Credit Suisse, Switzerland. The first edition was held in 2001 at Linköpings. There were 21 paper submissions. The conference chair was Prof. Mariam Kamkar, and the Program Chairs were Prof. Nahid Shahmehri and Dr. Ross Lee Graham.
Acceptance rates for the conference for the last 5 years have uniformly hovered around 20%. Attendance has varied between 70 and 120 attendees in the past.
The proceedings have been continuously published by IEEE.
